he died willingly.. for me

i watched "Stranger Than Fiction" last night. The movie with emma thompson, will ferrell, maggie gyllenhall, dustin hoffman, queen latifah and the works. Amazing cast.
but that's not what i'm here to type about.

As you know, or may not, today is Good Friday. The day that a man died.. but not just any ordinary everyday death. or any man, for that reason.
It was a death that changed everything.
Because of Him
My life.. and yours are forever different.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
My College CF is putting up a 'play'. and i'm narrator/storyteller.
so if you want to learn more about.. our First Love..
head on over to Help.
if you need further details; call me :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So as i was watching the movie last night.. it was this quote that hit me..
(if you don't know the story, u should watch it..
if not.. here's a little spoiler.
It's about a man and his very normal rigid life of counting everything. Now, one day that all changes.. when his watch is set 3 mins later (now he doesn't know that till the end of the movie)Because of the 3 mins.. his whole life is set "off-timing". and.. that's where the story
really.. begins.
-END OF SPOILER-

there's this particular scene, where Kay Eiffel (author, acted by EmmaThompson) is speaking to Dr. Jules Hilbert (lit writer: DustinHoffman) in his office. She faces the dilemma over whether she should end the book, the way she had originally intended (which results in a character's death) or whether she should change it..
and i'd say this is the turning-point of the movie..
************************
[dr JH office. both sitting on separate couches; conversing]

Dr. Jules Hilbert: Because he's real?

Kay Eiffel: Because it's a book about a man who doesn't know he's about to die. And then dies.
But
if a man does know he's about to die and dies anyway.
Dies-- dies willingly, knowing that he could stop it,
then- I mean,
isn't that the type of man who you want to keep alive?

-------------------------------------------------

so...
will YOU keep Him, alive?
..it's Easter weekend.
start now.
keep Him alive. because He's the only reason why you and I exist.

this man, is my Jesus.
HE died.. so that YOU (and I) could live..

an amazing and abundant LIFE.
