urban scapes..

it was sooo much fun! the first creative arts festival i've attended in KL. and in my owwwwnn city!! i was impressed by the turnout, the creative designers, electrico music, and artists (music and poetry).

i went w Adie and the first place we hit was the Marketplace. tons of bargains, loads of new and 2nd-hand stuff, and cute necklace pieces. we spent most of our "chian" there. i missed out on buying those colored-pixel-iron-over things. sobbbb. that's going on my wishlist (though my bday isn't for another 4 months).

we theeenn.. walked around the food place (i can't rmb names of the individual areas) and only thing i bought there was water, which was priceeeeyy! haha. no don't wanna go into the petrol-price-hike discussion. theeen.. we walked inside KLpac's foyer which was conveniently turned into an art exhibition. unfortunately didn't have enough time to enjoy the art pieces. glanced thru them though, and yeah they were pretty good. the photo exhibits were better. missed out on the 24-hr KL photo expo, but saw that Prakash had his own work displayed! one day i too, shall. -dream on, dream on-

i came back again at 7pm (was faci'ing at impact). made it back in time to indulge in the "rocker" (Kluemag said it was) steak and cheese sandwich. it was oohhhhkay. a little disappointment was they used hot-dog buns.. sooo it wasn't all that sandwichy - instead, crumbly.

made it in time for Estrella's performance. it was alright. i like their music but didn't get to reaaally enjoy it. probably 'cause i was taking pictures, walking around, and their set was quite short. oh i got an offer to take pics for some freelance studio who takes awesome pics of local artists! but the chance of me getting a call is pretty slim

after that i went to Pentas 1 to watch Mikey in the poetry slam; which started like 1.5 hours later than it was s'posed to. errggg (u see i could've gotten my Barf colored-pixel-iron-over camera necklace!!)
anyway, i almost got to perform one of my beat poets for the open mic, 'cause mikey conveniently told the emcee that i write. but thankfully, they forgot. so i didn't have any nerve-calming-routine to run over.

aaannd i ended my day by browsing thru the marketplace, again; which was mainly half gone 'cause it was 10.30pm. i ended up getting a handmade red-green-white button&bow necklace and a tee with a camera and tagline "i shoot therefore i am". i regret tht purchase 'cause i'd rather get a nicer tee w a nicer camera and w a girl size.

the damage for the day? RM 160
can't wait for the next one! hope i'll be around :(
